Health and Safety

 
 
  • Parent's are responsible for their children and should not leave children unattended in the public areas of the Swimming Pool.
     

    Burton Ammeter swimming club  aim to have a safe environment for our swimmers to enjoy. A designated Committee member is appointed to  coordinate any Health & Safety issue.

     
    Health & Safety is the responsibility of everyone (including swimmers) at BASC.  
     
    Qualified Life guard cover is provided by Meadowside & Repton swimming pools, the swimming operators complete ongoing safety risk assessments to maintain their high standards. Swimmers are required to adhere to the pool Operators rules of behaviour.
     
    Any accident or incident relating to Health & Safety should be reported to the coaching team/committee member or duty lifeguard.
     
    An accident book is kept by the swimming pool operator to record any issues relating to accidents.
     
    We would like to encourage parents to motivate the swimmers by watching them during their sessions. The swimming club is not able to extend its duty of care to supervise swimmers prior to or following the designated swimming session.
     

    All coaching & committee members have been CRB checked.

     
    In accordance with ASA policy & Swimming Pool providers  No photography is allowed, & mobile phones with camera facilities should not be taken into changing room areas.
